Andover Town secured their place in the second round of the Hampshire Senior Cup but the victory was not as comfortable as the final score line may suggest. Fleet Spurs searching for their first win of the season dominated the opening exchanges and almost ten minutes passed before Andover created their first real opportunity.

Really hot sunshine greeted league newcomers Hamworthy Recreation as they stepped out onto what was sure to be a bone hard Portway surface following the current semi-drought conditions. Hopefully the trip to Farnham will give the management some food for thought. After a fairly even first half with chances at both ends. It would seem that defensive errors proved costly. However, Farnham were the better side overall. We wish Farnham all the best for the new season
