Wimborne Town 1–2 Andover Town

Upsets are not infrequent in the F.A. Cup Competitions but normally, if the lower ranked side does not win on their own ground, then they do not win at all. But Andover bucked the trend at the Cuthbury when, despite going a goal down, they came back with a superb second half performance to win by two goals to one and earn a home tie with Bristol based Cadbury Heath in the next round.

The road to Wembley for Andover Town began with a visit to Fawcetts field home of New Milton Town to play Lymington Town in the Extra preliminary round of the FA Cup. Lyminton Town’s ground was unavailable due to a cricket match being played there. Andover Town were unchanged from the team that started against Bemerton Heath Harlequins last Tuesday night.
