Andover Town3–5○Fareham Town

Fareham Town were the visitors to the Portway on Tuesday evening. One team change from last Saturdays starting lineup was Mitchell Hunt replacing Liam Gilbert. An early chance fell to Andover when a free kick from Santafe found Zach Glasspool but his header was off target. Fareham almost took the lead when a free kick from the left was punched away by Lloyd Thomas but it fell to Woods whose first-time shot was cleared off the line by McAulie Stubbs. Another Andover attack saw Reece Rusher cut in from the right wing and his well-directed shot was tipped around post by Plomer, from the resultant corner Ross Gregory met the ball with a firm header but it went just over the crossbar. Another chance fell to Shane Lock but his well hit shot was saved by Plomer at the second attempt. Fareham took the lead in the 34 minute when the ball was not cleared from a Fareham corner and the ball fell to Josh Holmes on the far post, who cut the ball back to Callum Laycock to sidefoot the ball into the net. Fareham began to take a grip of the game and forced several corners and had a shot from Ashley Tatterstall tipped over the bar by Lloyd Thomas. Just before halftime Andover did have the ball in the net but it was ruled out for offside.

At the Half time interval Fareham went in leading 1-0.

Fareham increased their lead when a solo run by Brady Norton ended with him firing the ball into the bottom corner. Andover reduced the arrears when a Free kick hit the Fareham wall and looped up into the air and went in just under the crossbar. The turning point of the game came in the 57th minute when Lloyd Thomas received a Red card when he brought down Curt Robbins in the penalty area. Before the penalty was taken Substitute keeper Jarid Hixon replaced Adam Grange., Curt Robbins scored from the spot to give Fareham a 3-1 lead. 5 minutes later Simon Woods increased Farehams lead with a well struck shot. Andover reduced the deficit when Liam Hibberd ran on to a through ball and just managed to prod the ball past the advancing Plomer into the back of the net. The fightback was short-lived however just 5 minutes later Simon Woods scored his second and Fareham’s 5th of the night to restore their 3-goal cushion. But with only a few minutes left of normal time Andover were awarded a penalty which Zach Glasspool scored, to create a New club record of scoring in six successive home games. In Injury time Andover had several attempts on goal first a shot by Reece Rusher was beaten away by Polmer for a corner then Santafe-Vivo had his shot well held by the keeper and McAulie Stubbs long range effort was only just wide.

The Game ended 5-3 to Fareham Town on a very eventful night at the Portway but Andover kept their 10th place in the league standings.
