Andover Town 2–1 Newbury

Newbury F.C. finished second in their league last season. They are a good team who were organised and demonstrated their knowledge and comprehensive experience of playing together.

It was our first opportunity to look at and play potentially our preferred squad. We still had a few key players missing. But considering this was the first real opportunity for the players to play and get to know each other it was a positive step forward
