Andover Town 1–1 Warminster Town

Saturday 23rd July at Sparsholt College, an Andover team which had several players absent but it gave John Robson chance to look at various options.

Andover struggled to blend as a team, particulary in the first half. The visitors defence stood firm and dealt with everything that Andover could throw at them, the Warminster keeper was hardly tested. Andover fell behind midway and didn't manage to find away to equalise.

The second half showed a bit more promise and the usual list of substitutions the team began to show more promise. As the second half progressed the Warminster keeper was tested on several occassions and eventually Andover scored the equaliser, thanks to some good interplay in the opponents penalty area and it was finally put away by Ike Robertson (Picture shows the celebrations !).

Obviously the result was good for our visitors but not the usual quality that the Andover faithful come to expect.
